That one inch doesnt sound like much but since clearance between it and our steps was already tight it caught on them putting it back on

The other issue is we have to push in on the little piece that seals between the two halves when the lid is closed because the extra 12 for a lid that was already an inch or two too big causes it not to seal properly and in the cold you can see steam escape

I was disappointed to find out tcg does not manufacture covers they are simply a reseller
