The consuming fire by john scalzi is the second in the interdependency series. Empereox grayland ii is a very different emperox because she wasn't trained for it. Kiva lagos is a hoot in spite of her excessive profanity.
John scalzi writes terrific space opera. His use of humor, wit, and real-life narrative are superlative! The collapsing empire" is a classic sci-fi yarn of the galactic empire kind.
Second book of the interdependency series. Collapse of the flow means stranding various worlds within the empire.
Cons
For almost fourteen dollars i received a three hour read that felt at best incomplete. I love the characters and the universe, but the pacing of this book is horrid. The pc egalitarianism isn't as bad as normal for scalzi.
