It is also supposed to be adjustable in pitch but as many others have pointed out the adjustment screw does not stay in place and the whole thing comes apart far too easily
It can clearly be heard as a high pitched whistle
I bought a second whistle and despite constantly checking it and screwing it up it fell apart in 4 days in the middle of a walk
