A kind man deliberately creates confrontation and intrigue. Nice inclusion of dogs without letting them dominate the story. All the characters are well defined and the story flows beautifully.

Christmas in dc is magical and we get hints of a secondary romance rekindling, plus a teaser for the next book. This one did have a small cliffhanger, so i have to see what happens next.
