Steve berry does a masterful mob of weaving history into a modern suspense thriller. Another great malone book. Always look forward to the next one. Well done mr.
Berry brilliantly weaves fact with fiction to make a this story difficult to put down. Appreciate the fact checking vs embellishments for the story being outlined. Full disclosure at the end where fictionalized historical events.
Cons
The charlemagne pursuit starts with an implausible plot pursued by cardboard characters. The story is alright, but hidden behind fantasy and excess material.

The story jumps from continent to continent and from subplot to subplot. The sub-plot with the white house staffers and admiral ramsey. It was supposed to be located beneath the ice cap in antarctica.
Tiresome and frustrating. Don't waste your time on this turkey. Either way, it is not satisfactory.

All around this was another solid entry in the cotton malone series but this ended with a cliffhanger so i had to dive into book five
