Pros
Jason fung is an extraordinary clinician with a detective’s mind. Fung in clear prose takes the reader on the cutting edge of understanding what cancer is. Jason. Jung has a fluid writing style oriented towards the layman.
This book is similar to the author’s prior books in that he clearly communicates through a logical progression of ideas. I find this book……. No regrets. Sarah warren, ccse.
The main new stressor is modern nutrition which means a diet high in sugar and refined grains. Our daily decisions create the soil whereby cells ‘leave the collective’ of well functioning metabolism in our mitochondria.
Dr. Fung says we are on the right path to slay this "emperor of all maladies" "i hope in the future there'll be a way to tell if such a life-altering (and fertility-ending) surgery is really necessary," he says.
Cons
A mammogram is meaningless in severe cancers and usually only prevents cancers that would not be dangerous anyway. I was disappointed in this book and find the description misleading.
The book is confusing, convoluted, and totally impractical. It is definitely written by ghostwriters. Nothing is practical, all is convoluted and very complicated writing.

He also forcefully argues that tumor size is irrelevant in determining a cancers lethality benign tumor rather it is the tumors propensity to metastatasize that makes cancer so deadly and this action usually occurs early in the tumors life cycle not later
