One reason might be a desire for realism as oppose to escapist literature

There are many twists and turns occurring throughout this novel that makes sure the reader will not want to put the book down

Well how could he possibly find the time what with marrying virgins and all and by marrying read have his magical adviser say a few words and then rape her just bc she isnt old yet and is still tight gee sounds much like earth in 2015 in the mindset at least
