Pros & Cons
Pros
The best thing about this book is that it helps a child to recognize the learning opportunities that exist in everyday objects and situations. Some require small extra purchases or have slightly unusual requirements, but nothing extraordinary.
Each chapter includes a paragraph called the scientific excuse which explains the principles behind the effect you see. Comes with simple instructions for each experiment. Completing several of these experiments in a co-op this year.
Cons
Totally irresponsible science leads one to believe that this book is chock full of daring, potentially dangerous experiments.
