The book has good learning steps and ample pictures, however, it is not a complete faux finishing book.

These are difficult-to-master techniques and you should be a trained artist (realistic painter) before attempting much of what is described in this book.

Finkelstein clearly outlines recipes & techniques used in the industry, and yes, for those of us who are visual, you'll enjoy the quantity of pictures that accompany it all.
