This is one of the few books that's ever really touched my life and that i won't just drop off at the used bookstore. The title alone is very intriguing. I loved this masterpiece.

British author and journalist, oliver burkeman is a freaking genius; maybe even a prophet, shedding old light in a new time and place. Burkeman writes well.

The author gives a great deal of attention to the phrase memento mori while rather surreptitiously truncating its meaning. The latin phrase mementso mori, meaning “remember you must die”, was influential in art and religious life dating back to mediev...  Read More

The author fails to mention hinduism, which has a strong focus on happiness. Buddhism is definitely a negative religion. There wasn't any spirituality in the book. The author is a self-help bookdevotee.

    I recommend oliver burkemans the antidote to just about anyone whose search for certainty or belief in positive thinking as the path to happiness have not actually led them to the tranquility that they seek
