Retired industrial chemist who fell in love with chemistry when he got his first set at age ~12 or 13. This is his first kit and he is really enjoying it!

Just takes a little more work then just opening bottles and mixing stuff up. Thames and kosmos' customer service are a pleasure to work with. Very reasonable and didn't have to fight crowds to purchase it.

The manual insists on measuring liquids in millimeters. The test tube rack does not have sufficient space for all the test tube as pictured say on page 15.

I feel like iit is not safe for my grandson. More kindergarten level than 10+.

There is so much content splattered over every page that you can't tell which directions go with what description and illustration. The write-up's are poor. The videos are different from the instruction.
