Pros & Cons
Pros
Warm the tea pot with a little hot water just before you pour it over the tea (i use a fine saki strainer pot, great pot) the flavor of this tea is a delight. It’s difficult to find black loose leaf tea that isn’t ‘fancy’ and by that i mean flavored o... Read More
Only quibble is the box it comes in could be better designed. Comes in a sturdy paper box with a foil liner inside and a reclosable plastic lid. Inside, the tea is further packaged in a sealed bag.
Cons
This product is not representative of the darjeeling i am accustomed to purchasing. It's tiny pellets that leave a powdery mess on the bottom of my mug. This dreck looks just like instant coffee, except it doesn't melt away.
This stuff is so weak and flavorless. Brands like taj mahal or brook bond are way more flavorful.
The bag inside the cheap box is not resealable, so no way to keep it fresh. Product looks like, well, mouse droppings. Will try some disposable bags.
Tetley premium loose leaf is what the header states but the content is crushed powdered black tea. The tea is dried out. I have drank tetley tea in bags in the past and it was ok, this product is not that.
