All you need is borax, warm water and sugar to make a bait. Boric acid is a highly recommended ingredient for killing cockroaches.

The key is to be consistent with the baiting program. I then pour some liquid out near hotspots (sinks, crevices) where i know they come from. Very effective for large ant infestations.
