Pros & Cons
Pros
These growmats are great for growing microgreens. The only problem is that sunflower with casings that pop off when the leaves open contaminate your microgreen with soil.
Bought this for my alfafa and radish sprouts. Seeds love to sprout on it. Used it for germinating greens outside in my beds.
Each seed that sprouted is very secured. The roots hold very well but will come out nicely when pulled.
Needed a big tub for the coir. Toss them in your composter when you're done. No more bags of soil to tote around.
Good product. Very versatile and looks good. Received the order very quickly. Would recommend and will buy again when needed. Quick, clean and easy to use.
Cons
They work okay for small seeds but struggle to germinate larger seeds due to the lack of fibre material. Developed mold very easily (even with little water) with wheatgrass seeds. Had to throw out almost every mat due to mold.
