I tried the cooling fan that fits on the side on your laptop

I had my laptop cooling fan replaced but my vaio is old so it didnt really help

However i discovered that what i really needed to do was to have someone fieldstrip my laptop and clean out the fan ports under the heat sink which were almost completely clogged with dust and reapply the thermal paste to the cpu and gpu which had deteriorated over time

Without it due to my laptops age it would cut off after an hour of use due to heat
