The miniusb to microusb cable to power the pi is a bit unusual if i want to get a longer one
I suppose if you used velcro tape or something else you could attach your pi to the folio lid behind the monitor and have a sortof portable

The solution is to install armbian 5

After the initial setup which is also 1920x1080 in text mode it boots to the graphical desktop environment with acceptable resolution and no overscan
