Ya if you want it to appear the color in the picture you need a few layers but if you want it to highlight your face in a subtle glowy way one layer is more than enough this stuff is shimmery

As with any liquid highlighter youll want to carefully place it to avoid over shine but i didnt seem to even get close to that look
