Pros
This extendable pole is perfect for the job and is very easy to install. Used this to hang curtains across a double width doorway to my conservatory. Got it for a drafty front door.
Does exactly what it’s intended for. Neat solution. Very pleased with it.
Cons
Tension rod flimsy and hard to tighten at exactly the right position. No internal spring and locking mechanism weak. Quality of the plastic knobs is fair.

I found you need to fix the width and allow only a small amount for adjustment before putting it into place
