The weight is nice, it puts in a pretty good hit on the post without having to put a lot of muscle behind it. Good comfortable fit. It's easy to hold. Not too heavy.

Cons

After ten minutes, the entire rubber head was shredded and useless. The bag looks very, very old and there's a yellow paste like substance is the bag. These aren't even worth the hassle of returning.

Either this mallet comes like this new straight from the mfg, or the vendor sent me a severely used one. In the picture it looks like the head of the mallet extends over the shaft for added securement but its just a flimsy band. Can't give an item in ... Read More
