I bought this for a samsung s8 which has a protective case

I put the phone centered on the pad the light on the pad lights up and turns blue and the phone instantly starts charging through the case

There is ring of blue light on it that lights up when you place your phone on it and it starts charging

It gets slightly warm while charging but not hot so the qi certified chip must be working properly

Led around the ring turns on green for a few seconds when you first plug it in and once you put your phone on the charging pad it turns blue and is supposed to turn off after 16 seconds making this wireless charging pad sleep friendly but that does not seem to be the case
