Pros

Easily lasts one set of ironing for me.

Despite not being cordless it's very easy to use. The cable length is really exceptional. The cord is a generous 3 metres long.

I don’t dread ironing anymore. This tefal iron certainly makes things a breeze.

The fv5872 is comfortable in the hand and not too heavy. It is quite weighty, but that does give a feel of quality and makes pressing clothes easier. It's weighted correctly and is ergonomic.



Cons

Paid 84 £ for this pease of. It is unethical to buy a product as new and someone sells you a used one.

This is a very good conventional iron from tefal


You seem to have to hold it there which is a bit of a faff with one hand


I bought this as a replacement for a tefal iron as i like the brand and the diamond soleplate

    Basically it gets too hot on the max setting and boils the bejesus out of the water… which results in lots of popping and hissing

    What they dont tell you until you read the instructions is that in very hard water areas you must dilute the water 5050 with distilled water not deionised water

    I was trying to work out how long wed had our old cordless iron and think its something like 20 years

    Theres a third setting which is higher powered steam but this only works if the lever is pushed and held to the right presumably as its only likely to be intermittently required
