Pros
Reception is good in am and fm. Included 15’ wire antenna is a must for all but 3 or 4 of the strongest sw. Whip telescopic antenna and large internal ferrite rod antenna.
Radio has built in charger for ni-mh, nickel metal batteries. Uses 3 aa's that can be rechargeable or an adapter (sold separately) uses aa batteries and battery life is amazing. Just be sure to set up the radio to use rechargeable batteries.

You have to know what and when stations are transmitting. Ets turning is great for finding sw stations during the day or night.
Instructions seem to be comprehensive and understandable. My only quibbles are the lack of an antenna jack and the difficult-to-decifer instruction manual. Must read the all inclusive and complete, very good for content, manual.
Cons
I believe the tuner is malfunctioning. This is such a waste of battery while the radio is off, yet still draining power.

And the tone quality is very good
If you are new to shortwave listening i dont think you can go wrong with the 380 especially for the price
The price range is acceptable buti did not like the quality of the sound as compared to ccradioswp
However sadly shortwave listening is waning with the internet and satellite radios so this is probably the last shortwave radio i’ll buy

Packaging/appearance
I only get 10000 faintly on the pl380
Finally i settled on the tecsun pl 380
I get 10000 and 15000 on the pl360
Competitiveness
The pl 380 was the winner in competition with several other shortwave radios several of which were also made by the chinese company
In my admittedly rather inexperienced opinion when it comes to swling it compares very favorably to my tecsun pl660 680 and 880 radios
The 380 plusthe other 2 i mentioned are dsp or digital signal processing units
During the big texas freeze even tmobile data networks stopped working along with power outages and there was no way to get news

It works ok but the radio takes some 5 minutes to scan the entire sw band
