My overall conclusion then is that this adapter either doesn't work for chromebook, which is a contradiction of their advertisement, or simply doesn't working at all.

I tested internet speed and it does not show any interference for my speed range of 100mbs

0 5gbps device so its not limited by usb speeds just the networking max of 1gig and whatever your isp provides you
