At 155 watts it is just under the maxium allowed for carry on luggage. The usb outlets allows me to keep my phone running so i can keep my hotspot going. It has no problem running my baratza forte grinder, which draws 150 watts.

The battery pack makes a subtle whirring noise when it cycles, but it's not terribly distracting. The fan to keep it cool is rather loud but if i put it under the table while in use it's hardly discernible. This thing is a life saver wherever you go!
