There is a youtube video that shows how to replace a firing pin which you wont be doing but it first shows you how to remove the backplate

Mine wasnt nearly that easy i had to rap on the backplate with a plastic screwdriver handle before the backplate would break free

The gun sticks out too far and its impossible for me to hide it
