Pros & Cons
Pros
Product is as advertised. Well made, visually appealing, and functional. Cleans well and looks great.
Teak is very durable and less likely to dent from a knife mark. I think it is easier on a knife edge (keeps knives sharper longer) the teak ages beautifully and i enjoy prepping more when i’m cutting on teak than plastic board.
I use mineral oil because it's non-toxic, cheap and won't oxidize like olive or canola oil. A little mineral oil wipe now and then keeps it looking brand new. It now seems properly seasoned.
The fit and finish of the teakhaus board is top notch. We were both impressed by the heft of the board and its beauty.
Cons
The entire board needs sanding. The bottom is filled with small cuts and gouges.
Big disappointment. However, it’s a little disappointing. Very disappointed. More than disappointed.
