It does angle downward so i think if it is placed in a lamp it might illuminate the ceiling more than the room

We had tried some other leds that were 60w and they were super bright not even 5000 daylights and they refused to dim although the box said dimmable

Fyi the product states clearly that it is a standard medium base however it goes on to say the base is e12 its not

The cfl bulbs which replaced older incandescent bulbs and always had i thought a harsh light were not good with dimmers
