Pros

Pitch correction works well for me between the 12 and 2 o'clock positions. Gender adjustment has the usual "mickey mouse" effect at higher settings. This box makes me sound like i can actually hold a tune. Added great vocal tone and reverb.

Many condenser microphones require 48v phantom power. Calibration procedure is definitely something that should have been included in the documentation. Great pedal overall.

Cons

Description advertises phantom power, but the unit only supplies 24v. Doesn't pitch correct very well. Tracking warbles on high notes, even in moderately slow correction mode. Difficult to adjust, and adds very strange glitches to my vocal.

The gender button is nearly useless unless you want to sound like alvin and the chipmunks. It colors the signal a lot; makes it sound muddy. Sounds very fake. Don't bother with this pedal.

As i would expect it came from the factory with the latest firmware already installed 1

The gender knob really creates a psychedelic feel to your voice if you use it right

However i do find it usually mixes well as a harmony backing track when combined with the lead vocal as long as you dont overdo it

I use the rc505 also a 5 star product with the tc helicon c1 and it adds so much to whats possible with it

Price

Its simple operation and subtle pitch correction are exactly what i was seeking and the price is certainly right

No fault of the product itself but i experienced the longest shipping time ever with an amazon prime instock item 7 days

Fortunately for me it isnt an issue as i use it with a r0de nt1a that operates just fine at either voltage
