I just got it today and excitedly hooked 'em up right away and man o man, it's absolutely sound incredible. Its dead quiet and very flexible with many different tonal combinations. Makes my tone sound really clean, shimmery, and snappy.

It functions as a transparent volume boost, but also works well to push a tube amp into overdrive. It really makes your tube amp shine.

Set it up for unity gain with level at 12:00, 26db level boost is from 12 to 5:00. Clean boost is very smooth and instantaneous. Being able to go from -inf to +26db is again, the difference between a good boost and a great one.

This is probly one of tc electronics most underrated pedals

I play through pedals into a roland keyboard amp im mostly a keyboard player but have always wished i could afford a really nice tube amp

The spark mojo mojo and dark matter from tc cover similar territory with slightly different gain ranges and i’d consider them all winners

This easily compares with overdrive pedals 2 or 3x the price

Im using it with bass and wanted to get a sound similar to a mesa walkabout out of a super clean ai clarus

Ive never used another boost pedal so i cant compare but to me this is like a low gain overdrive
