Pros

The tatung brand makes sturdy and lasting products. The price is a little higher than other cheaper ones (but much less than zojirushi or panasonic,) i am sure it would last, too.

Keep this dispenser filled to the top as much as possible. The unlock button is great for safety purposes to avoid accidental dispense of hot water.

Cons

Tatung is not the only brand that has this flaw. Water looks oily. My countertop is a complete mess as a result.

It is clumsy to fill, slow to boil, and even slower to dispense. Can't switch to cooling mode unless it is fully boiled. Very annoying especially when plugged in and out. And it is not insulated.

So i decided to get it and have been very happy with it so far one month use so far

I suggest people look around in stores first as this is an electronic product

We had to replace our expensive zojirushi unit with one of the same capacity 4

Its also cheaper than zojirushi but guests cant read the chinese characters so i have to operate it for them
