Pros

Tatung makes the best rice cookers hands down. No worries about the coating scratching or wearing off. I still like the product even when it arrived faulty.

Tatung is the best brand for steaming food. Love steaming buns and food with this. Cons about this is you have to buy steaming trays separate. Best rice steamer on market.

Cons

Tatung no longer uses solid metal heating element. Instead, tatung uses a much inferior heating element made out of a sandwich of 3 to 4 layers of thin circular heat-resistant cardboard.

Temperature control is weird, feels like it is run on a timer instead of sensing temperature. The cook switch pops up way before it even reaches boiling temp. The heating elements are the culprit.

I use it for the steaming function since i own a separate smaller zojirushi rice cooker that is the right size for the two of us

Be aware itbis a doible boiler set up
