Ice cream hardens at the bottom. While device is on and churning, it freezes up and the paddle freezes to the sides, which then lock up the whole machine.

My grandfather would put a folded towel on the top of the churn one of us kids would sit on it to hold it down because the hook was broken then he would crank and crank and crank

It was difficult to take apart and put together

It works really good but although it comes with recipes and what is included in the box it doesn’t have any instructions to put it together
