The instructions are poorly written as far as hooking up all the cables

That said i was surprised that i could not completely drain the pack so i can dispose it safely but it makes sense that one would not be able to do that

For safety the blue unit controls the bulbs and would not let you drain below a threshold

So the most probable use is to discharge to storage level but not being able to use as a discharger to fully empty a pack
