Manual focus is smooth and responsive despite its short throw while the focusbywire stm in the 1018 requires live view and is still annoying even there

Ive never really liked the 18mm field of view much so the tamrons extra zoom range is what initially caught my eye

I initially tried a sigma 1020 but it was badly out of spec with 17 afma at 10 and 16 at 20returned as defective
