Pros
Black, 3 inch abs venting. It's a fact of physics, if you use a given amount of natural gas or propane, efficiently condensing the water in it to release the 240 calories per gram.
Cons
The time it takes before hot water reaches the faucet is ridiculously long. Of course, now that that the heat exchanger is leaking, it is a bit late. Takagi refuses to give me a refund. This is the worst water heater i have ever had.

We purchased ours through another online vendor but we are very happy with the quality so far after just a few weeks in service
I ordered the takagi th3mdvn indoor and am very pleased
It went into my water closet very quickly even though the copper lines needed to be rerouted to work with the new heater
If every company i deal with had this excellent level of service i would be beyond pleased

Good price quiet easy to install and operate

Its so quiet you wouldnt know it was on if it werent for the hot water coming out of the faucet

Make sure when connecting gas line when using a flex appliance connector that it is rated for the correct btu for this unit

Although the unit worked fine i replaced with correct btu size being afraid when cooler weather arrived the utility water gets cooler which the unit will need to work harder to heat

I used a pvc 4 schedule 40 pipe ventilation setup which is a valid option since this condensing unit doesnt produce very high heat in the exhaust gases

If you want to have less condensate just buy a noncondensing model and exhaust the water as steam up the chimney
