I’d definitely buy from seller again and my order came in much sooner than expected. Fit and finish is perfect. It’s slim and i really like that.
The backing plate takes some finesse to install, and honestly it kinda scared me a little bit to screw the long one through the pinhole. But once you figure it out, it’s an amazing mod!

I have the one screw through the trigger housing like you are supposed to and i tightened it just enough and lined up the edges with the lines of the receiver so it was straight

The product is sturdy and well made not taking away from the product at all on that point reviews do say that it will fit the mossberg maverick 88 yes it does no it doesnt i have an older version i dont know if theres a newer version to the maverick 88 out there but the unit fits on you cannot place the washer on with the nut not enough threads at least on mine for the upper screw the lower screw that goes through the trigger assembly because of its threads it would not just slide in had to be bored out just a hair not too bad but slight modification to the firearm needed to be done got it on looks beautiful sturdy but it would not allow me to chamber around because the forearm was in the way only way to keep this product on would be to change out my forearm which unfortunately was not an option because there are no forearms to change out to that i like two would have been to modify my forearm but i would be taking out a big chunk of that forearm or id have modify the plate carrier which then would take away from its function unfortunately had to return this product but thats my mixed feelings because its a good product its a sturdy product it just wont fit the maverick 88 without modifications to the firearm or the pump well have to try again maybe with a semiautomatic shotgun

Got this for my remington 870 bolted on in minutes loved it however not so much for the mossberg 500

Had to move it rearward about an inch which meant drilling out and countersinking a threaded hole circled upper left in photo to accommodate the longer screw and nut that came with the kit

Cut about an inch of material from the aft or right as you look at it of the mounting plate

On one hand one might argue the product is good enough to put in the extra effort for proper fitment on the other might’ve been nice if that info was presented in biggerbolder font prior to purchase
