This does not take up the space an easel would

I first sanded down the wood which didnt work but then put artists tape on those two small parts of the canvas which did protect the paint

I think if you push very hard on your canvases then you might just put a weight pad on the back and it should be fine

Before ordering measure the item will not hold anything larger than 1 in depth
