The razor (merkur 37c) glides with ease. The lather is excellent and ensures a smooth shave.

The soap itself forms a rich, creamy lather which is applied easily, using even a cheap brush. It lasts a long time and lathers very easily with all my shaving brushes.
This is a quality product - and i can see this puck of soup last me a good number of months- so it's not a big layout in those terms. Plus it comes in a classy ceramic dish! The bowl is a nice finish too. Retro style dish looks great!
Cons
The girlfriend hates the smell and leaves me alone until the aroma wears off. Lather is just ok, nothing like what i have heard people talk about.

Downside is it comes in a heavy ceramic bowl and its really slippy so could easily damage your sink if you drop it
