Pros

Umarex tr40 is an impressive, non-lethal self-defense air gun well worth the price. The polymer construction is very solid and other than the mushy trigger pull, it is a fine paintball gun. The moon clips well is easy to install and remove to reload.

Not one shattered paintball in the chamber thus far. Still packs a punch though.

Its power output is 7 joules giving a muzzle velocity of around 350 feet per second (240 mph) the gun uses a standard 12-gram co2 cartridge that is loaded into the gun's * grip but not activated until the gun is ready to be used.

Cal rounds can & do ricochet sometimes. The little * at the bottom is a screw and also a plunger.

Cons

The thing is so ridiculously large and clunky it could potentially stop an attacker by making them convulse with laughter. Riot balls must be inserted from the nut side of the ball holding magazines not from the gear side because the cylinder chambers... Read More

Fps is * in paintball clube. It is the most likely, the flaw in the design, that leads to discharge of the cartridge prematurely.

Easy to load, however everything after that is horrible. Can’t pull the trigger. No parts and definitely no service.

Packaging/appearance

These balls will easily penetrate several sheets of 18 cardboard at 30 feet or make an ugly bloody hurtful mark on anyones skin

I’m getting that right out of the way

Competitiveness

Its a massive co2 pistol compared to its competitors but not overly heavy

Worth buying and using as a deterent for crackheads that wont take no for an answer

I also don’t like paying the premium price for umarex pepper rounds

I don’t understand why nobody has decided to make a 50caliber pepper round besides umarex
