This router is a beast and anyone experienced can get the best potential out of it. I'm not great at reviewing items but this router deserved my time.

I have a synology nas and its very similar


The set up of wifi and guess network was a doddle and i breezed through it

    The wireless signal is about as strong as a single device can get on 5ghz covering most of the house with just one dead spot upstairs

    A couple of minor gripes 1 lack of ssh key support and 2 no native way to set local dns entries there is a workaround for this

    Asus rtac86u was the wifi router component which was good to begin with though it still needed a booster to reach the furthest part of the house

    The thing memory leaked like a sieve and needed rebooting at least once a day and after a couple of months reasonably hard use just died on the 2

    Having tossed up whether to go down ubiquiti wifi 6 and read the reviews i’m glad i went with synology
