Im not really sure why they havent fixed the listing on this yet but its not sony ram it is synology branded ram

You can always go with some of the user reported compatible modules that cost slightly less than this but i didnt want to deal with any issues especially on a newer synology model that the user reported modules havent been extensively tested in

For most people they wont need over 2gb of ram that comes stock on the newer disk stations but if you plan on using a lot of applications on your disk station then its a good idea to get the extra 2gb
