Pros & Cons
Cons
When i checked their compatible drive matrix for the new units, it is mostly synology drives with 1 or 2 non-synology branded drives. Also, they have so many tricks to prevent honoring the warranty.

If you switch to the notorious nactua fan like you see in many posts or youtube video you are replacing a 16000 rpm fan with a 5000 rpm fan

Think twice before you do that

If you want keep the 15000 rpm then there is no purpose to replace the fan as any fan with 10000 rpm will have that kind of noise
