The previous ones failed to boot from cf cards larger than 512 mb and demonstrated quite poor readwrite performance

In some cases it could be ok since there are oses for servers which require just 200 mb or so and could be loaded directly into memory

Windows 2000 works great on cf cards since it doesnt run background processes the way windows 98 and xp do
