Leaf claims to be a christian and a scientist but her constant verbatim quoting and repetitive citation of scriptures in the running text while she only cites her scientific data in end-notes leads me to mistrust her science.

This book should be taken with a huge grain of salt. Read norman doidge, bruce lipton or others for solid information and toss this book. I'm a big fan of cbt, but this book is just nonsense.

The book claims that people can change their brain by thinking more positively. The author says the book makes "no sense whatsoever" and is "a clear display of pseudoscience" the book is not for serious students of neuroscience, says author.

It reads very much like an infomercial with a lot of repetition and constantly reiterating the “key steps” which are never fully explained. It's far too distracting and feels borderline brainwashing.
