Pros

The serrated blade locks in absolutely solid.

Finished properly with lube, solid construction very impressed. Only thing i miss compared to the wave is the micro screwdriver. The difference between this tool and a leatherman is the metal and finish.

Decent for the price, but not earth shattering. A fantastic tool. The pocket clip is a bonus.

However disembarking the british caledonian flight the steward who collected our penknives about 6 or 8 of us passengers rather stupidly did not note down our names seats or put into individual envelopes

Not all blades are made of this high grade stainless steel which is higher grade than food grade 304 stainless steel compass and magnifier glass for instance but for first aid i much rather use a victorinox

My favourite victorinox is work chanp but even that piers are too small to do real work

Hence the pstii of the leatherman it was only £33 in singapore in 1997

But the pstii is not comfortable to use unlike the wave and wave plus which i prefer to carry in the rucksack for leisure pursuits when not airtravelling

The grade of steel used is lower than that of leatherman in fact lower than any of my penknives multitools and tools but it is cheap enough to live in a soft luggage until emergency requires it
