Pros
It's inexpensive compared to a nice thule rack. Only negative is that the back u-bolts were too long for my vehicle and scratched/dented the roof. Only thing i would change is to place a thin rubberized material on all surfaces.
It works for both my son's islabike and my considerably thicker specialized frame. It is firm and sturdy enough to hold my old and heavy bike.

This thing has many more issues than just being flimsy. Even being as inexpensive as it is, this is a very disappointing product.

Extremely light easy to setup and works well
Quick to assemble and attach to rack
Alas that negates the locking ability so back to a locking cable
As well as getting bike on and off…if anything goes wrong it will be my not so great universal roof rack and not this product

Such a great value for the price
It was reasonably priced and easy to install
So for a modest price this carrier worked
Overall though it is a good product for the cost and i would recommend it

Competitiveness
This thing is so cheap compared to other roof racks and it just works awesome
That said im going to buy a better quality carrier that i trust for more frequent and even longer trips
I dont think there is a better bike carrier for this price
No comparison in quality but for the price the swagman roof bike rack served me well
