Pros
Build quality and appearance are amazing and sound is better than anything i've heard. Blends perfectly with the rest of my system that does not contain any other svs products. This thing almost brings a tear to my eyes.
If you’re on the fence about what sub company to go with, there’s no hesitation. Sub is pricey, but worth the peace of mind. Customer service is also first-rate with prompt helpful chat.
Polk svs-pb1000 is a 10in subwoofer. Replaced a polk psw-505 with a failed amplifier. Reviewer says it works great for movies and music and i'd give it 8.

The lowly bic actually did sound better and fuller. However the low frequencies from it just did not cut it.

After adding it to my basements 120 inch projector and mid level surround system i was amazed with the quality of the clear powerful bass
Built quality is great its kind of large but size does matter for better sound
I did not expect this to produce the same quality bottom that some very expensive subwoofer produce
I had to return it as it was too big for my room and went with the svs sb12nsd sealed subwoofer which is much smaller

Its exactly what was advertised and i think an excellent value at the price i paid
I do think it is a good product for the price

I matched this svs pb1000 sub with my vanatoo transparent zeros and set the crossover to 80hz
Dont bother buying another brand at this price range
Note my vanatoo t0 speakers are dedicated music speakers and front channels for watching movies

So initially i did get sealed sb2000 its a great unit as well with clean and tight sound but was lacking the juice of sound in very low frequency extension

Living in an apartment i find myself actually needing to turn it down a lot actually because it gets so loud

I was torn between the pb2000 and two pb1000s buying the second one at a later date
