Pros

This is a backup to my meade and lunt zooms. It gives a very good account of itself when compared to those other two pricier models. Great option for my amateur astronomer wife for sure.

This is an excellent bargain for a beginner. It's also really good not having to constantly swap eyepieces so i often use it for grab and go.

More convenient than swapping eye pieces. Image quality is good, much better than the kit eyepieces. Makes viewing much more enjoyable. This zoom piece eliminates that entirely.

The views are well corrected, scatter isn't overly intrusive, and they just plain work. Optics are terrific at a terrific price.

The magnification settings are well marked on the scope so there is no guessing. Other than this eyepiece, i also have a 3x lens and a set of 7 filters from svbony, they are all as good as they advertise.

The image quality is good much better than the kit eyepieces

While perhaps not leica or televue quality i’m not embarrassed to have one sitting next to one of them in my eyepiece travel case

But when i received it i immediately noticed theres a quality problem

I am not a lense expert but i know shoddy quality when i see it and this is not shoddy

Price

Optics are terrific at a terrific price

Its not the clearest eyepiece but it does the job for the price

Perhaps if you do order one and its defective or has optical errors have svbony swap it out for another

Slightly heavier than expected but this is only really a drawback if you cant adjust the tension on your focuser

Paired this with an basic astromaster lt 70az for travel use
