Pros & Cons
Pros
The quality of this instrument is very high. Every reed plays easily with an even tone. The responsiveness, airtightness and factory tuning is on the same high level as my premium instruments.
The super 64 has a much more solid feel to it compared to the 270. The super chromonica deluxe has the same shape, covers, and slider as a 270 (the mouthpiece is mostly the same except round holes) it is as thick as my horner chromonica 280c. Every no... Read More
Slide is great, first one that does't stick just glides. The valve has a short throw and is very quiet. The slide is practically noiseless. The whole thing is pretty airtight.
The chromatic harmonicas use thin, plastic (or vinyl perhaps) wind savers. I have both the scx64 and also this scx48 as well as two sedel saxony's with one in orchestra and the other standard tuning.
The curved mouth piece is comfortable. The holes are round, not square, and the harmonica is more comfortable to the mouth because of this. Easy to keep clean using ordinary soft cotton garden gloves to rub it.
Cons
The issue is obvious. Hole2 is extremely inconsistent. Someone recommending warming it up. There was a rattle in the first four holes on the draw. Hohner chromatics have less tendency to do this.
The whole instrument is basically unplayable. This harp has a nice finish etc, however from the start it had 2 dead/bad notes right in the middle, making the instrument completely un playable.

It's a bit heavy but i believe this just shows the quality.
If you buy one of these from a dealer from outside of the usa suzuki usa will not warrant the product!
I’ve since completely switched from hohner to suzuki, higher quality, easier to maintain, great sounding, and really affordable.
Price
I didn't expect at this price anything decent.
Price is $50 to $60 more than the 270.
I would hope that the price will come down on the suzuki in the future.
Packaging/appearance
The harmonica has held up well, though i have had to replace a few of the wind savers/valves (an easy task since i am able to r... Read More

The only problem is trying to get replacement parts in particular those tiny practically invisible buffers which have a tendency to disappear from sight never to be seen again
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
The fact that these tiny parts are quite expensive is the least of the problem
