The clip part is stiff and a bit awkward to use but seems to secure the compass well. Perfect for clipping on to a ruck sack strap. I've had it attached to the webbing on trek poles and also on a rucksack.
Cons
It's like as if the bezel was slightly eccentrically mounted and there was a slight wobble as it turned which caused a loose and tight spot. That in itself is not the compasses fault, just a mismatched combination.

The service from the supplier was first class too with the product arriving wthin a couple of days
Build quality is what ive come to expect from suunto
5° which means the lines only align perfectly with the arrow every 30° which is not really an issue
With the caveat that it’s not meant to be for navigation at critical times most hikers will find this a useful tool
Price
The price is a little higher than i expected but if this compass lasts as long as its predecessor it will prove to be money well spent
Competitiveness
In a league of its own due to lack of competition
Not quite as good as a fullsize compass but works well enough

This compass is not intended to be your main compass as it’s accuracy is around 5 degrees

It’s also possible to walk in a bearing or find your position using this compass with a reasonable degree of accuracy but it’s not intended to be used as your larger main compass

It’s important that the latch on the clip can work effectively or it’s possible the compass will fall off whatever you’ve attached it to

If you can’t get the latch to work properly it’s best to carry the compass in a pocket until it’s needed
